Dear Pgh CLC BOD,
Steve Ehrin has resigned from his position as Region Director. Steve has expressed interest in retaining his positions as Membership Secretary and Treasurer.
As I'm sure you have noticed, we did not have a Membership Drive for 2023 and there are no activities planned as of now for 2023. The Pgh CLC is in dire need of a Director and leadership. If I am correct, our Region is currently on "probation" with the National CLC which means our charter will be pulled by the CLC within a year. Lee can confirm this information if I am incorrect and provide the correct terminology.
Our last newsletter was published in January of 2022 detailing activities from October of 2021.
We were able to muster two activities in 2022: There was a Spring Dinner at Scoglio's and in October 2022, we were asked to display our Cadillacs at the 2023 Cadillac model reveal with Rohrich Cadillac at the Stadium.
If anyone has input to push the Club forward, this is the time to speak up. Steve and I have put together three thoughts / options:
1.) New leadership steps up and carries the Pgh CLC forward.
2.) Joe Kress does what he can to get a membership roster together and hold one event of some sort this year. In future years, he will do what he can to organize two events a year. An organized newsletter probably won't happen.
3.) Close the Pittsburgh Region Cadillac LaSalle Club.
If we as a Club can stumble along into 2024, it will be our Club's 40th anniversary.
